It’s time to drop your chains. It’s time to let go of your shackles. It’s time to show the enemy who the victorious one is and break free.
So many of us let ourselves hold onto something that only tears us apart each and every day. Whether it may be self harm, a breakup, your past… You know what you need to let go of, and it’s time to do just that. It’s time to realize who holds the key to our chains. Ask yourself, why are you clinging onto your key so tight? Why have you become so comfortable with throwing away your key rather than surrendering it to Him? It’s time to let Him unlock your chains and break you free.
In the song Out Of Hiding by Steffany Gretzinger, she writes “now rid of the shackles, My victory’s yours, I tore the veil for you to come close.”
Jesus is telling you to come home. He won the battle guys. He won. He defeated the grave to see you be free. To set you free. He’s constantly telling us to come home to Him because He wants to fight your battles for you, He doesn’t want to leave you to figure it out on your own. God is not a God of confusion; fully surrender and seek His will and He will make it crystal clear to you. Clear as day. No question.
It’s time.
It’s time to fully surrender whatever it is you’ve been feeling so desperately chained with. Lay your shackles at His feet and never pick them back up again. They’re gone. It’s over. You’re free.
Let Him do a complete restoration in whatever you’re feeling so burdened with. Even when it seems like it’s not; it is possible. There is no greater freedom than surrendering your own personal battles and shackles to the Lord and watching Him throw them into the ocean and seeing the waves swallow them right up. They’re gone forever. You never have to look back.
Take comfort in your freedom tonight. He did His part on the cross, now it’s your turn to do your part and trust in Him. Let Him unlock the chains that are clinging to your soul and throw them away. It’s time to let go.
It’s time to be free.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” // 2 Corinthians 3:17
Hello, Nadia! My name is Natalie. You have no idea how much I need this not only today but this past week. Thank you for your words that are constantly lifting me up everything I read your blog. It’s all so real. I’m a sophomore in high school and I’ve been struggling with a lot. I love when you said this “Jesus is telling you to come home. He won the battle guys. He won. He defeated the grave to see you be free. To set you free.” Honestly this couldn’t have touched me more! You are so right about this! I feel like Jesus had just been telling to let go of everything and give it all to him & to trust in him. After reading this I know He’s a great and is there for me I just need to break the chains. Thank you Nadia. Your blog is so encouraging! Keep writing! God is doing great things for you.
Thanks again!
Xxx, Natalie
